Division of Work
|
| |
All "standards-based" clubhouses organize into units. At The Meeting Place, we currently have two units for members to choose from. Unit One is located on the first floor, and Unit Two is located on the second floor.
Each of these units has significant and varied work opportunities. Each has its own staff and responsibilities for helping to keep the clubhouse running smoothly.
Members are entitled to choose their unit based solely on their interests and preferences. The unit serves as your "home base" and you must check in with your unit every time you visit the clubhouse, even when you don't feel like participating.
Occasionally, members like to rotate between units. We encourage members to try out all aspects of the clubhouse and see that works best for them.

Unit Meetings
|
| |
At The Meeting Place, we have two unit meetings every day. The first one takes place at 9:00 AM, and the afternoon meeting takes place immediately following our 1:00 PM in-house newscast.
The unit meeting is vital to the functioning of the unit. This is where staff and members discuss the work that needs to be done for that day, determine who's doing it, prioritize, track projects, plan, establish goals for the unit, and check in with each other.
This is also a great opportunity to problem-solve and discuss the standards and how they are or aren't being followed in the clubhouse.
